This week’s guest speaker is an Executive Recruiter

Meet Rosa from Airtable

Rosa is part of the Tech Recruiting Team for Airtable. She held her position with them for about a year and a half. Prior to this, she was an executive recruiter at SPMB. While she was there growing teams became one of her biggest passions. Our GEMs will join us as Rosa shares her story. We’re excited to hear her offer insight into what it takes to become an executive recruiter.

Outside of work, Rosa is a passionate baker. She most recently worked in a Banchan Shop every Saturday learning the intricacies of Korean Cuisine. She is an avid runner and is currently training for the Los Angeles Marathon.

The GEMS Experience

Our GEMs will be learning about one of the most important qualities for anyone interested in becoming an executive recruiter, the ability to build relationships. As an executive recruiter, you are constantly meeting new people and forming relationships with potential candidates. It’s important that you are able to quickly build rapport and establish trust so that candidates feel comfortable sharing their qualifications with you. They’ll also learn the importance of being organized and detail-oriented. There is a lot of data to keep track of when you’re managing multiple candidate searches at once.

Could You Be An Executive Recruiter?

For any young woman interested in becoming an executive recruiter, Rosa is living proof that it’s possible to achieve your goals! By following her passion and pursuing a career in which she could help grow teams, Rosa was able to land her career as an executive recruiter. If you have the ability to build relationships, are well-organized, and detail-oriented, then a career in executive recruiting could be right for you!

When women are represented in the upper echelon of their industry and field, they give back, influence social change, become change agents and inspire innovation. Ultimately, we are improving the lives of girls through action and exposure to women leaders.

The Girls Equity Movement provides an empowering, fifteen-month fellowship and mentorship program for rising seniors who desire to become: self-assured, college-bound, and career-focused. To apply to join GEMs start HERE.
