Hello! This is my story.

Joy was born and raised in the SF Bay Area.

She is the Founder and CEO of I Luv Curls®, a natural hair care product brand for curly hair, and the cofounder and Operating Partner at Harmony Venture Partners- a boutique technology investment firm focused on pre-IPO tech companies. A product of Silicon Valley’s high-tech corporate sector, Joy honed her business, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills while working for Silicon Graphics and AT&T. After 15 years in the corporate world, Joy created and launched Harmony Beauty Boutique and Harmony Yoga & Pilates, a unique brand of personal care products and wellness services. Joy holds a BS in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco and serves as the Vice-Chair of the Dean’s Circle Advisory Board of the School of Management of her alma mater. Joy is a Christian Ministry Leader, contributes to social impact causes that benefit women of color, and is an Executive Producer of the soon-to-be-released docu-series exploring the history of black neighborhoods that struggle to attain economic self-sufficiency and culture in the midst of gentrification. “A Time Before Kale.” She resides in Berkeley, CA, with her husband Neil and their dog (Malshi) Zoe.
