About this course

About this category

For instance, prototyping can be undertaken early on in the project — ahead of ideation — in order to discover more about the users. Simple prototypes can be developed, not just to test ideas, but to understand more about how users operate on a daily basis. For example, the Prototyping stage could feed into the Empathise stage.

What’s a Pitch?

A pitch is a presentation of a business idea to potential investors. People pitch a business because they need resources. If the goal is to raise startup cash, the target of the pitch is an investor. Other businesses pitch to potential customers to sell their product. Finally, some organizations pitch because they need a partner or resource to help them accomplish their mission.

Elements of a Pitch

An attention-grabbing introduction. Make investors pay attention by telling a story. A clear vision of a world with your company. Your job is to show investors how your company will improve lives. A solid plan to achieve your vision. A clear exit strategy. Be prepared and remain engaging.

Creating a Pitch Deck

Usually, a pitch deck is presented during face-to-face or online meetings with potential investors, customers, partners, and co-founders.
