Hello! This is my story.
Chasma Smith, Founder of Try X Conquer a tech-enabled company created as a direct response to the exclusion of women of color and non-binary people in outdoor activities.
With TryXConquer we all #FitInOutdoors. Members can find safe, affordable and inclusive outdoor activities near them and ambassadors can host experiences independent of gyms on our platform to earn money.
Prior to working on her start-up full-time, Chasma worked with leadership at tech companies like Teradata, TriNet and Uber to make them more efficient and productive. While working as a Program Manager at Uber, she helped dramatically shift workplace culture and managed large high profile events and launched as $100,000 Coding Bootcamp with Code Tenderloin.
Chasma also served as the finance chair on the Women of Uber Board, where she managed the annual global budget to fund women-led initiatives.
Chasma currently split her time between the US and Jamaica where she helps businesses leverage the internet through apps to better connect with customers, improve efficiency and increase sales.
What inspires me…
Offline, she enjoys crafting, gardening, outdoors and catching up with family and friends as much as possible
